Mental Health Screeners

The following screening tools are designed to support self-reflection and help individuals better understand patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. These tools are not diagnostic assessments and are not a substitute for a comprehensive evaluation by a licensed mental health professional. You may complete any of the screeners below at your own pace. Results are private and anonymous through Mental Health America’s platform. If a screener raises concerns or questions, we encourage you to discuss the results with a qualified mental health professional.

Depression

Screens for common symptoms of depression, such as low mood, loss of interest, changes in sleep or appetite, and concentration difficulties. Take the Depression Screener

Trauma / PTSD

Screens for reactions that may follow stressful or traumatic experiences, such as intrusive thoughts, avoidance, or heightened alertness. Take the Trauma Screener

Anxiety

Screens for symptoms commonly associated with anxiety, including excessive worry, restlessness, and physical tension. Take the Anxiety Screener

Addiction Screener

Screens for patterns of substance use or behaviors that may be impacting health, mood, or daily functioning. Take the Addiction Screener

Considering Support

If completing a screener brings up questions or concerns, support is available. Some people choose to discuss their results in therapy, while others use them as a starting point for reflection. You are welcome to reach out if you would like to learn more about therapy options or next steps.
